Happy Boss Day, Mr. Lewis!

L-R: Mr. Tim Lewis, Mr. Jay Stayner, and Ms. Giulianna

I’m Giulianna, one of the assistants as LCI Services.

Today, is Boss’s Day in the United States. It seems like as fitting of a time as any to thank Mr. Lewis for being an exceptional boss! Those of us who are blessed to work Mr. Lewis know that he is a boss with integrity.

He encourages each of us to be our best. He leads by example. And he has more energy than a room full of toddlers after eating cookies.

Sometimes he’s tough. Sometimes he has to correct us. Sometimes he asks us to go out of our comfort zones. I suppose for the others who are/were cops this is nothing new, but for me…let’s just say, it is shaping me.

I doubt anybody really knows how much work Mr. Lewis puts into this company. I would venture to guess that about 350 days a year he works to make LCI Services a success. He is often working from sun-up to late at night, with an occasional nap (you’re allowed to get away with that after you turn fifty).

Why does he work so hard when he’s already a successful boss?

Because he doesn’t believe mediocre is good enough. He genuinely loves what he does and wants to make sure every attendee is getting the best training. His passion is evident in the classroom/field when he’s instructing and role-playing. He believes in always giving 100%.

So what does he do those other 15 days?

He’s hiking or painting. I don’t think he knows how to sit still, except when his age periodically forces him to slow down for a day or two.

Mr. Lewis, we are grateful for your dedication and leadership.
May you have a very Happy Boss Day!

From all of us at LCI Services

Train as a Team

Feel free to bring your team and train together. When everybody is on the same page, you will be all the more effective and successful in your mobile and foot surveillance.

With Rolling Surveillance™ created by Tim Lewis, you will learn the best techniques to keep from burning or losing your operation and then have fun learning hands-on in the uncontrolled environment of the streets, simulating being on the job.

Check out our Testimonials page and see why we are the top in Law Enforcement mobile surveillance training.

Rolling Surveillance is Coming to New Mexico

Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department and Las Cruces Police Department are both hosting Rolling Surveillance law enforcement training in September and October 2018, respectively.

Rolling Surveillance is the top in mobile surveillance courses in the country. Tim Lewis, the instructor, originated taking rolling surveillance training for law enforcement into the field, with real life scenarios in uncontrolled environments. This is the first week of a two week course. Be sure to take Rolling Surveillance II to complete your training.

On Monday you learn the techniques and lingo, then on Tues, Wed, and Thurs you will go out into the field and work what you learned on Monday (with occasional debriefs to help you clean up your techniques) , getting the top hands-on training available. Friday is a thorough debrief to see how well you employed what you learned throughout the week and how you can improve upon it!

Be sure to register online today to reserve your spot in the class before it’s full.  We hope to see you there!

Awesome Trip to Medford, OR Region

Thank you, Oregon State Police!

Earlier this month, we had the privilege of training in Central Point, OR at the Oregon State Police station. We are very grateful to those who arranged this and made it possible.

This was our first training in the Medford region and we had a wonderful time with the law enforcement professionals who attended.

This truly was a great bunch of guys and they performed very well as a team during Rolling Surveillance field exercises.

It was our pleasure when many of them came up at the end and shook our hands and thanked us for bringing this class to them.   We hope to be back soon!

In Addition to Law Enforcement Training

Flowering-Cherry-Trees-in-Central-Point-Medford-ORIt was a lovely drive to and from this Rolling Surveillance class.

Oregon is full of breathtaking scenery.

Many streets were lined with flowering trees and in the background, the mountains were all capped with snow. The ornamental cherry trees were all in blossom, as were many pear trees.

We also were able to taste test and buy some of the best cheese, mead, honey, and pears while visiting Oregon.

2018 Off to a Great Start – Chop Shop – Auto Theft Investigations – So Cal

Chop Shop – Auto Theft Investigations Course

Thank you Fontana, California PD for hosting us to train Law Enforcement from around the country in:.

  • VIN Switching
  • Identifying Chop Shops
  • Surveillance Techiniques (to gain more training, please see Rolling Surveillance and Rolling Surveillance II)
  • Organized Criminal Groups
  • Working Together as a Team/Task Force in the Field
  • Many Other Techniques

Please join us for other great training. Our goal is to give you the tools you need to get the criminals off the streets. We go out in the field, because all the training means nothing if you don’t implement it in the real world.

Sweeping for Tracking Devices

In our law enforcement training classes we teach that suspects often exhibit behavior consistent with counter-surveillance techniques or technical surveillance countermeasures, such as using debuggers to sweep for trackers or electronic eavesdropping devices. This being only one of many counter-surveillance techniques, but one we must prepare for during surveillance.

On the Discovery Channel’s Moonshiner’s series, we see this in action. This video will turn right side up when started. 🙂

2018 Law Enforcement Training – Online Registration Now Open

Our 2018 Class Schedule is not only up, but online registrations for most courses are now open. If the class you are seeking is not open for online registrations, please call or email us to reserve your place, as seating is limited in all courses. We already have a few classes filling up, so don’t miss reserving your space.

For 2018 we have training in Hawaii, Southern California, Central California, Northern California, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Maryland (Washington DC region).

Classes per a year are less than years previous to 2014, as our founder/instructor – Tim Lewis – has limited availability to teach. He had planned retirement a couple of years ago, but the law enforcement community requested that Tim continue bringing his expertise to the classroom and his hands-on, in the field training approach. As previous students know, one cannot beat Tim’s enthusiasm, passion, knowledge, and hands-on training style in these courses.

Our hands-on (both classroom and field training) courses for the upcoming year include:

  • Rolling Surveillance, which is also known as physical or mobile surveillance.
  • Rolling Surveillance II, our advanced foot surveillance.
  • Chop Shop – Auto Theft Investigations and Criminal Sophistication, gaining knowledge and experience needed to bust auto theft rings.
  • Undercover Field Operations, a course to help you create your undercover police profile, plan operations, work informants, etc.
